Middle School

Where Confidence Takes Shape

Grades 5 through 8 are the crucial years. At Hudson, students build confidence, ask harder questions, and discover their voice — supported by teachers who know them by name.

Challenge, Support, and Independence

Our Middle School curriculum is challenging and relevant, preparing students for college and to take their place as global citizens. We create an atmosphere where students understand they already have everything they need inside of them — our work is to help them access and connect with their intelligence and talents.

We value independent thinking, learning, and intellectual risk-taking. We value courage, compassion, and commitment.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Field Studies

Being in the NYC metropolitan area gives Hudson students extraordinary access. From the Met Museum to the Bronx Zoo, field studies are an integral part of a THS education.

Music

Optional weekly lessons with award-winning professional music masters. Voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and guitar — all available during breaks or after school.

Athletics

Soccer, basketball, flag football, volleyball, and track. All students welcome regardless of skill level, focusing on teamwork, skill-building, and sportsmanship.

Joy is inherent in authentic teaching and learning. At The Hudson School, the joy that both teachers and students bring to the classroom is infectious.
